Snoop Dogg sat down with The Breakfast Club and chatted about the influence Dr. Dre had on both his career and on Eminem's. During the chat, he explained why Em isn't top ten all time, despite Dre's best efforts.
"Eminem, the great white hope," Snoop said, when discussing Shady and Dre. " White rappers had zero respect in rap. Let's keep that one-thou-wow. None. [Dre] has probably put Eminem in a position where he can be consided one of the top ten rappers ever -- I don't think so -- but the game feels like he's top ten lyricists. But that's just because he's with Dr. Dre and Dr. Dre helped him find the best Eminem he could find."
Snoop was then asked why he doesn't put Em top ten.
"Because there's some n*ggas in the 80s that he can't f*ck with," Snoop explained. "Like Rakim. Like Big Daddy Kane. Like KRS-1. Like LL Cool J. Like Ice Cube. I ain't got any time to play with it, it was it is. Cuz did that. He did that to fullest He's my teammate. He's my brother. But when you're talking about this hip hop sh*t. That I can't live without."
Do you agree that Eminem slots in behind that old school five?
