Kid Cudi's been all over the news lately, thanks to Drake reaching out and dissing him.
But since Cudi getting treatment for depression and suicidal thoughts we haven't heard anything from the man himself.
SNL's Pete Davidson, who's good friends with Cudi, updated the 32-year old's progress on the Breakfast Club.
He's getting help now, he's doing really well now," Davidson said of Cudi. “I texted with him last Monday. He’s in pretty good spirits. I think I might go see him next week. But yeah, he’s in a good place.”During the interview, Davidson explained why Cudi means so much to him.
He saved my life. I would’ve killed myself if I didn’t have Kid Cudi. If you’re 25 and under, I truly believe that Kid Cudi saved your life ... I truly believe if 'Man On The Moon' didn't come out I wouldn't be here."However, don't count Davidson among those who think Drake went out of bounds by mocking Cudi's mental issues.
I think [Drake's] just gotta cover his own. That’s all Drake is doing. He’s just trying to cover his own brand. Someone insults your brand, you’ve gotta stick up for yourself," Davidson explained. "But there would be no Drake without Cudi.”After Davidson's done discussing Cudi and Drake, he goes on to blast Lil Yachty.
It all begins at about the ten minute mark.
