Tory Lanez, locked up in North Kern State Prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, is in administrative segregation.
That means he has his own cell, dines and bathes alone, and has his own fenced-off spot when he goes to the yard.
It's probably for the best.
According to sources who spoke to the New York Post, Tory is terrified of getting hurt or worse in prison.
"Tory is scared for his life and safety in prison. He feels like he is an instant and direct target because of his celebrity status," the source said. "He stands in at 5-foot-3, so his size is definitely a setback. He is housed with real hardcore criminals, murderers. So he is really hoping that his lawyers will be able to continue to fight for his freedom while still maintaining his innocence. The whole thing is a mess."
North Kern is one of the more dangerous prisons in the California system. But it isn't likely to be his permanent prison home. It's still classified as his transition prison, and he may soon be shipped elsewhere.
