RZA Explains The Bad Advice Drake's Team Gave Him In The Kendrick Lamar Battle

by Daryl Nelson

The Wu-Tang Clan's RZA is one of the latest rap figures to weigh in on the Kendrick Lamar, Drake battle.

The legendary producer spoke with Complex this week and explained the difference between the two rappers. After that, he said Drake's team gave him some bad advice pertaining to the battle.

RZA says Kendrick Lamar is a natural lyricist and Drake is a trained lyricist

"the battle for bar for bar was something that was just not good advice on Drake's camp..."

"Kendrick is a natural lyricist. Drake, I think, is a trained lyricist," RZA explained. "You could train a fighter and he could be good. Then you got those natural fighters. And while Drake got bars forever, Kendrick’s bars potency was stronger. So, the battle for bar for bar was something that was just not good advice on Drake’s camp."

RZA's opinion on the battle is far different from 50 Cent's, who said Drake won because he's still able to make a lot of money. But Fif didn't mention anything about bars, craft, or the rappers' respective songs while giving his take.

What do you think about what RZA said? Do you agree or disagree?
