Russ Calls Out Mumble Rappers

If there's one thing you can say about the rapper Russ, it's that he doesn't like biting his tongue.

In September, he called out those rappers who use and promote drugs. Now he's speaking out against mumble rap.

The way Russ sees it, if you can't really spit, then you're going to have success for just a short time, but then you'll be forgotten about.

"People might think this whole thing called mumble rap is running rap," he told Montreality. "It's not, bro. You know when you should really be concerned? If some of that mumble rap shit is the biggest shit in rap. But it's not. Guess what the biggest shit in rap is? Motherfuckers who can rap, and it always will be... I don't care. If you can't rap like that, you're not going down with the best, you're not ever going to be the biggest. You're gonna plateau because that has a ceiling."
While some might  say, 'But yeah, mumble rappers like Lil Uzi Vert and Future are the biggest artists out there.' But are they? Because none of the mumblers can sell quite like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, who can obviously spit.

What do you think about Russ' opinion?
