Part of it is his own outspoken doing: he's made controversial statements about producers, drug use in Hip Hop and mumble rappers.
Part of it is that it's fun to troll Russ by saying "Fuck Russ". Just ask Lil Pump about that.
The death of XXXTentacion has brought a new round of hate onto Russ, with many X fans wishing Russ had been on the wrong end of a bullet rather than their boy.
