XXL's often debated freshman list was revealed today, and as usual rappers from various states were chosen.
Brooklyn's Fivio Foreign made the cut, as did Memphis' NLE Choppa, Chicago's Polo G, Calboy, who's also from Chicago, California's Baby Keem and 24kGoldn, Lil Keed from Atlanta, Jack Harlow from Louisville, Mulatto from Atlanta, Lil Tjay from The Bronx, Chika from Alabama and Florida's Rod Wave.
Royce Da 5'9" took issue with the selection because no rappers were chosen from his hometown of Detroit. So he sent a few words to XXL on Instagram.
"Next time y’all ask me to do a interview, Ima go missing like Detroit is from this blasphemous freshman cover @xxl ... Still love y’all tho 🙄," wrote Royce.
