There is train of thought that 50 Cent filing bankruptcy is some kind of con to avoid paying folks he doesn't want to pay.

That's not usually how personal bankruptcy works. And 50's moves since the filing -- such as hawking his music catalog, trying to rent his mansion and suing his lawyers for $75 million -- are suggestive of someone who has real financial issues.

Fif's rival Rick Ross spoke about those issues during an interview with Angie Martinez. When Martinez suggested 50's bankrupty was a ploy, Ross scoffed.

"He did it for fun?" Ross asked, incredulously. "You think Jay Z would've filed bankruptcy? You think Puff would've filed bankruptcy? You know what bankruptcy is? That's when it's everything you ever worked for. That's your name, that's your brand, you walking away from him." "I'm not gonnna speak on another man's pockets, that's not my job, but everything a man worked for and the only thing as a man, all you got as a man is your name," he continued. "Get Rich or Die Tryin' and now you bankrupt. You could come back here tomorrow and explain it and say 'I'm doing this, I'm doing that.' Stop, stop, there's holes in your roof, fam."
Ross's words on 50 come at about the 3:15 mark. The Bawse thinks 50 is really broke. Do you?
