Meek Mill has been in prison since July for violating probation by booking out-of -tate show dates, among other things. It was a three-to-six month sentence, so beginning in October we began to hear rumors that Mill's release was just days away. But they never came to be.
While promoting Hood Billionaire on Hot 97, Mill's Maybach boss Rick Ross discussed his label-mate's situation.
"I spoke to him and it may be five days from now," Ross said about Mill. “The big homie was sentenced to six months off the rip. We done got our hopes up a couple of times so I said I wasn't going to feed into that again. When he come home, he come home. At worst it won’t be more than a month at this point."So it seems like the Philly emcee will be home for the new year. His sophomore studio album Dreams Worth More Than Money, which had been scheduled to drop on September 9, should follow soon after that.
