J. Cole has to be happy he dropped out of his beef with Kendrick Lamar, as Drake and Kendrick have been hurling vicious accusations at each other that could permanently damage each of their legacies.

According to a source who spoke to AllHipHop, Schoolboy Q warned Cole before his notorious speech at his Dreamville festival last month, during which he apologized for his Kendrick diss "7 Minute Drill."

"ScHoolboy Q had a conversation with J. Cole at the Dreamville Festival. Our writer confirmed that ScHoolboy Q was at the festival and that they did have a conversation. She couldn’t corroborate what they talked about, but sources are telling me that they gave him a warning," they report.

Cole and Q are friends, and Kendrick and Q are friends and former label mates.

It sounds like Schoolboy ended up doing Cole a solid with that warning.
