Fans of TV One's R&B Divas:LA may not be shocked to hear it, but for everyone else, singer Michel’le's recent interview with 105.1's The Breakfast Club is appalling to say the least.
In 2013, the singer revealed on her show's reunion special that Hip Hop mogul Dr. Dre was physically abusive to her throughout the six years the pair was dating. Yesterday, the R&B songstress went on to describe the brutality of the relationship in detail:
" I had five black eyes, I have a cracked rib, I have scars that are just amazing. It was normal. Everybody that knew, it was the norm. No [I never called the police]. He used his fist, closed fist." "I do remember when he first hit me. When he first gave me my very first black eye, we laid in the bed and cried. He was crying and I was crying ’cause I was in shock [and] hurt and in pain. I don’t know why he was crying, but he said, “I’m really sorry.” I think that’s the only time he ever said he was sorry."Michel’le goes on to describe how she used humor to cope with the situation, and what it took for her to finally leave her abuser. You can check out the full interview above, and for the ones who may be unfamiliar with her music, check out this video of 1989 Michel'le singing 'Something In My Heart'.
