by Daryl Nelson

On Wednesday, we shared the tragic news that the rapper Ratchet Life was murdered in his hometown of Shreveport, LA, and now his manager and cousin Rico Bell is providing a few details.

In an interview with VladTV, Bell said that Ratchet was shot in the head on his way to the studio, but the shooting wasn't related to any type of beef. He was just at "the wrong place at the wrong time."

"He was killing the streets, man. Ratchet Life. That's all you would here," said Bell, who's also Ratchet's cousin. "My whole city upset about this. Shreveport, aka, Ratchet City. The whole city is upset. Everybody love the Ratchet Life. Ain't nobody say nothing bad about him."
Bell added that the late rapper recorded 11 years worth of music in just three years and was planning to release a mixtape where he rhymed over different 2Pac beats.  Bell now plans to release all of the music that the rapper made.

"We got a lot of music," he said. "We gonna release a lot of shit, because I know he wouldn't want me to hold it."
