The rapper Majesty Da Rebel turned himself into the NYPD after he knocked down a news reporter.
We shared a video of the incident earlier this week, where the ambitious MC got into a scuffle on live TV with CeFaan Kim. According to Majesty, he was just trying to promote his mixtape and nothing more. At the time, Kim was covering an attempted sex assault in Downtown Manhattan.
Before turning himself in, Majesty defended himself on Twitter, although those message have since been deleted. It's also been reported that the rapper has been arrested three times, once for carrying a knife.
"LMFAO," tweeted the rapper. "He attacked me, and now I'm wanted. The media is comedy ... It ain't hard to find me I'm from the hood ... Come on people, if I wanted to knock him out it would of been so."As it stands, the 23-year-old faces a misdemeanor assault charge, so it's unlikely he'll face any jail time. Do you think it was worth it for Majesty to go through all the legal drama, since he did promote his mixtape and people know who he is now?
This is the man who attacked me last night during a live broadcast. If anyone has seen him around please give the 7th precinct a call. pic.twitter.com/enkqQe0mxC
