Rapper Huey, most famous for his 2007 hit "Pop, Lock & Drop It," was shot and killed on Thursday in Kinloch, Missouri. He was 32 years old.
Police received a call after Huey arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound, TMZ reports. Another man who was shot with him was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
There were up to 10 people who were on the scene when the shooting occured.
The late rapper's "Pop, Lock & Drop It" spent a whopping 23 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, where it reached the number 6 position. The song also went double-platinum. He dropped his latest single "Pulled Away" back in April
Condolences go out to Huey's family and friends. He's survived by a 13-year-old daughter.
