As a result of the documentary "Surviving R. Kelly", the Fulton County Georgia District Attorney has opened up an investigation into Kells' alleged sex crimes. Prosecutors in Chicago have also encouraged any victims of Kelly to come forward.
But he hasn't been charged with anything yet and still has his passport.
There is now a rumor that R. Kelly plans to flee the United States with his harem of women, perhaps landing in Africa. The families of the women who are still involved with Kelly are now hoping that there is some way to freeze the 52-year-old's passport so he wouldn't be able to leave the country.
Kelly has maintained his innocence and has threatened to pursue legal action against his accusers. We don't know if he'd be willing to cooperate with his investigators in Georgia and Illinois.
