Last year, R Kelly was found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking after a six-week federal trial.
Today he got his sentence: 30 years.
The 55-year-old had been facing up to life, although this sentence will effectively have Kelly living out the rest of his days in prison.
The Feds accused Kelly of being the ringleader of a 20-year-long scheme to recruit underage women for sex.
Kelly never took the stand in his own defense. In his defense, his lawyers argued Kelly was abused as a child, only has a 79 IQ, and was ashamed of his illiteracy.
The singer is still facing 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Illinois and is expected to go to trial in that case.
