Since last week, all the remaining defendants in the Young Thug RICO case have been negotiating plea deals with Fulton County.

Quamarvious "Qua" Nichols is the first to reach an agreement.

He gets 20 years with seven to serve.

To get the deal, the state dropped a murder charge against Qua.

The word is Thug won't agree to any deal that leaves him with a violent felony conviction.

There is pressure on the state to make deals because a prosecution blunder could result in a mistrial.

If a mistrial is called, the state can just recharge everyone. But that would likely add more years to a trial in a case that is approaching the 2.5-year mark.
