Warner Bros. Rapper Q Money Found Guilty of Murdering Another Rapper

A DeKalb County Georgia jury has found Q Money guilty of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

In 2019, Q-Money (Qamar Williams) was seen by another man in an apartment they shared standing over the body of Calvin Alexander Chappell while holding a gun. When the man asked Q what happened he only stuttered “I” several times.

The man then woke up the victim’s cousin and the two took the firearm from Williams, forced him out the front door, and locked the door behind him.

Q-Money, who was signed to Warner Bros. and Think It's A Game, and Chappell, an aspiring rapper, knew each other from growing up in Cleveland.

Money and his family claim he was acting in self-defense.

The jury disagreed. Despite the guilty verdict, Q maintains his innocence.
