Pusha T and his brother No Malice are about done with their new Clipse album, so they're already doing press for it.
One of their latest interviews is with Rolling Stone, in which they tell a story about Kanye West giving them a beat, then taking it back and using it for "Follow God."
"He gave us the beat, forgot about the beat," Pusha recalled. "We working on the records. We probably laid something to it."
"We laid it," No Malice confirmed.
"Kanye was like, 'I need that back,'" said Pusha.
The incident happened in Wyoming when Clipse went there to help Ye write for his Jesus Is King album. Pusha said the sessions were crazy stressful because Ye kept on shooting down his ideas.
"You’re trying to write from a perspective of where you think he’s at," Pusha explained. "You keep it as cool as you think is possible, and think you’re getting the point across proper. [Then Kanye would] come through, nix it."
Pusha's days working with Ye are over, though. They had a falling out over Ye's anti-Semitism a while back.
