Last Friday, Tay-K was found guilty of murder in the robbery and killing of Ethan Walker.
He avoided the more serious charge of capital murder and will face between 5 and 99 years.
That's quite a spread and prosecutors are trying to get it as close to 99 as possible in this week's sentencing phase of the trial by playing the jury the video and reading them the lyrics to Tay-K's biggest hit, "The Race".
"The Race" was recorded when Tay-K went out on the lam after being house arrested in Walker's death. It talks about life on the run and features bars like "I-I-I woke up too moody, who gon' die today?/Shoot a f*ckboy in his mothaf*ckin' face."
Prosecutors also showed the jury violent images from Tay-K's social media pages. Latharian Merritt, not Tay-K, was the trigger man in Walker's death. Merrit has already been sentenced to life in prison.
