Today is the first day of the trial of Justin Johnson, who is accused of murdering Young Dolph.
In his opening statement, Shelby County Assistant District Attorney Paul Hagerman argued that Johnson and his accomplices were motivated by a 100K bounty Yo Gotti's brother Big Jook put out on Dolph.
"Big Jook, the person I told you about before, the number two guy at CMG, he's put out a hit, a hit, $100,000 to whoever kills Dolph," Hagerman said. "He has met with Justin (Johnson). He has met with Cornelius (Smith) and they think they're ready to do it."
Jook was gunned down earlier this year in Memphis in a suspected revenge killing for Dolph's death.
Gotti and Dolph had been beefing before Dolph was shot and killed in Memphis in 2021.
Hernandez Govan and Cornelius Smith will face trial for Dolph's killing at a later date.
A fourth man, Jermarcus Johnson, already pled guilty last year to three counts of being an accessory after the fact.
Do you think the blowback over Dolph's killing eventually gets Gotti, legally or otherwise?
