Putting a memorial mural of Prodigy in his hometown of Queensbridge seemed like an excellent idea.
But it hasn't turned out that way.
Less than a day after artists Jeff Henriquez and Eli-Eos completed the tribute to the 42-year-old who passed last month from sickle-cell disease complications vandals defaced it with white paint.

The artists quickly scrambled to fix it up. Only to have defaced again the next night, this time with red paint.
Now it looks like the mural is being permanently removed because it's proven to be too much of a target.
What kind of people would do such a thing?
