Police Looking Into Laced Xanax In Death Of Lil Peep

by HHL JT

When Lil Peep died of an apparent drug overdose, folks close to the emo rapper forwarded the theory that the Xanax pills he had consumed before his death were fake and/or had been laced with Fentanyl, the powerful opioid that has been responsible for the death of Prince and others.

"We heard there was some sort of substance he did not expect to be involved in the substance he was taking,” Lil Peep's brother, Oskar, said in an interview. “He thought he could take what he did, but he had been given something and he didn’t realize what it was.”

Peep's friend Lil HBK went as far as calling out the drug dealer he believes sold Peep tainted drugs.

Police in Tucson, where Peep died, are now investigating whether it was Fentanyl that did the 21-year old in.

Fentanyl-laced drugs are a big problem in the Arizona city. If you are not a regular Fentanyl user, a fairly small amount can be fatal.

Peep's body was found in his tour bus surrounded by drug paraphernalia, weed, what is believed to Xanax, and an unidentified tan powder.

A full toxicology report won't be available for another few weeks.
