We reported a couple of days ago that Method Man and Redman won't be in the movie How High 2.

Since then a petition has been created for the rappers and stars of the original film to be cast in the sequel.

"Sources close to 'How High 2' tell TMZ ... the hip-hop duo wasn't cast in the made-for-TV movie after starring in the original stoner comedy," the petition reads. " This is a travesty and an injustice! We need your signatures to show that they need to be included in the sequel."

The petition is well on its way to getting the 2000 signatures it requested.

The makers of How High 2 have explained that it'll be “fundamentally different from the OG version." The sequel stars Lil Yachty and DC Young Boy.

Even though Meth and Red haven't been asked to join the film, they're still pretty busy these days.

Meth is still hosting the rap battle show "Drop the Mic," and his Meth Lab 2 project will be out on Nov. 13.

Redman, meanwhile, hosts the VH1 show Scared Famous and earlier this year he talked about those rappers who like to flaunt money but are actually broke.
