People Say Lil Wayne's 'SNL50' Performance Proves He Shouldn't Have Played Super Bowl

by Daryl Nelson

When Kendrick Lamar announced he was playing Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, many said Lil Wayne should've gotten the gig since he's a native of the city.

Then when Kendrick played the halftime show last Sunday, people said it was proof that Wayne should've been selected because they didn't like Kendrick's performance.

But a lot of that talk changed after Wayne performed at SNL50 last night, because a good number of people said he did a horrible job.

This Lil Wayne performance is a perfect example of why he would have been a terrible Superbowl Halftime choice. #SNL50

Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter eventually responded to the comments, and she let people have it.

"Yall are some d riders !" wrote Reginae on Instagram. "My dad been having fun performing for years ! He is truly himself when he hit the stage . Go play with yall mf kids .. he collected a check after this .. what yall get for hating? Not a damn thing!"

What do you think about Wayne's SNL50 performance?
