Migos is gearing up to release their next album and some members have asked people to give them credit — like Takeoff, who in March, said the group is one of the best to ever do it.

Then on Sunday, April 11, Offset tweeted a similar message.

"Thank the MIGOS we changed the game!!!" he wrote.

Many have given the group credit for influencing people to rap in triplets, a style that was used as early as 1993 by rappers DJ Paul and Lord Infamous on their project Da Serial Killaz. But others have said the Atlanta trio's music lacks substance and a variety of subject matter.

What's your take?
