No Malice Says He's Not Forcing A Clipse Reunion

by Sermon

After the Clipse's Thornton Brothers went their separate ways in 2009, Pusha T rebranded himself as a solo artist and was recently named G.O.O.D. Music President. No Malice took a small name change, put out a little mixtape, and released his memoirs a couple years ago.

Fans have been anxiously waiting a reunion. No Malice discussed the possibility of that happening with MTV, and commented on where the brothers would fit on the rap landscape if they were to reunite

"My brother and I together can make clown soup of all of these rappers," he tells MTV. "That’s what I believe in my heart, but how can two walk together unless they agree? No Malice continues, "My circumstances keep me where I am. But do I have hope? I totally have hope. I’m not chasing it or forcing it, but I stand by what I just said, man. I know what we could do."

Once No Malice became more religious that changed the dynamic of what he wanted to rap about. So, when he says that he can't walk with Pusha unless they agree, he's referring to the direction of the music. Pusha has displayed no signs of wanting to switch up from his "coke rap" formula, thus a Clipse reunion might never happen.

That doesn't change the personal relationship between the two, though.

"That’s what I love about my brother and our relationship," he explains. "Those morals that my dad instilled in us…We don’t put opinions on each other. We don’t say, ‘Well, you should be doing this.’ We’re like, ‘Whatever you do, homie, we respect each other as men.’"
