NLE Choppa Says He's Going On Strike Until His Music Partners Do Better

NLE Choppa has his own label under a partnership with Warner Records and Artist Publishing Group, but he's unhappy with those companies at the moment.

The 18-year-old took to Twitter on Thursday, Jan. 21 and said that he's done releasing music until his business partners do better. In September of 2020, Choppa announced that he'd stop making violent music and displayed that new sound on his LP From Dark To Light, which only sold 6,000 copies in its first week. So that could have taken away Warner and APG's enthusiasm over the rapper.

"Not dropping anything else after my video tomorrow," tweeted Choppa. "Warner records are trying to disable my freedom of speech on the platform I worked best. Until this change this will be the final video I put out on my behalf.... love y’all always ... Not signed to a label I have a partnership with APG and Warner for my label No Love Entertainment. Since they aren’t moving like partners I won’t be doing anything else I have creative control to do this so I will be using my creativity when I know everyone’s on board. Thank u."

Do you think Choppa, Warner Records and APG will mend their differences?  He's also seemed to shave his head in protest:
