In 2019, both Nipsey Hussle's brother Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom and the business wing of the Crips filed a trademark application for Nip's catchphrase "the marathon continues" setting up an awkward legal fight when Nip's estate sued the Crips LLC.

The fight is over.  According to TMZ, today Asghedom told L.A. County court that he reached a settlement with the Crips.  They are still hammering out the final details and no terms have been announced.

Nip's estate had been seeking monetary damages from the Crips and an order that the Crips LLC destroy any merch it had made with the trademarks.
