Since his death, the LAPD has been praising Nipsey Hussle to the public. However, right before his demise, they were secretly investigating him for gang activity and possible arrest.
TMZ reports the LAPD had their eyes on Nipsey's store The Marathon Clothing because they thought it was a hotbed for gang activity.
Police were also trying to get Nipsey's landlords to kick him out a few years ago due to that alleged gang activity. The LAPD is now investigating Nip's Marathon business partners, who may be prosecuted in the future.
The late rapper was down with the Rollin' 60s Crips but wasn't thought to be an active member. He was known for trying to curb gang violence in his area and was supposed to meet with the Chief of Police to talk about it. The meeting was halted once Nipsey was gunned down in front of his store in March.
