The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Bred blends two legendary sneakers into one. In the new kick, the famed and beloved Air Force 1 Mid serves as the canvas for an Air Jordan 1 Bred inspired colorway.

It's a colorway with an interesting history. The Bred was banned from the NBA in 1984, Michael Jordan's rookie year, with league rules stating, "A player must wear shoes that not only match their uniforms, but matched the shoes worn by their teammates."

That ban obviously didn't hold, and the Bred became iconic by creating a fashion forward footwear movement in the game.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Bred keeps the red and black motif of its inspiration. Red toebox, swoosh, and heel with black flooding the rest of the upper. The AF1s also keep the same white midsole and red outsole as the AJ1s. The powerhouse combination is expected to drop mid-March.
