Nicki Minaj's protective fans The Barbz attacked Ludacris on social media because he defended the rapper Shawnna, who used to be on his Disturbing tha Peace label.
It all started when Shawnna seemed to reference Nicki's recent interview on The Joe Budden Podcast when she said no female rapper could touch her. Shawnna didn't mention Nicki's name, but most were able to read between the lines.
"I saw an interview from a female artist the other day and since she didn't say no name, I ain't gonna say no name," said the Chicago MC. "When she's ready to say names, then we are gonna pick the beat, then we gonna hit the booth, no ghostwriters ... Rappers don't want to give me no light. They don't mention Shawnna. As soon as they mention Shawnna, spotlight on Shawnna, and you know what happens when they put the spotlight on me, I take off. Then when I take off, that's less money in [their] pocket."
Luda then jumped into the comment section of a clip that showed Shawnna's interview and co-signed what she said. And that's what angered the Barbz.
"Ludacris sit this one out," someone wrote. "You remember Okina out rapped you?"
"@ludacris who can't make a hit?" another person asked.
@ludacris a flop just like her," someone else followed, mentioning Shawnna.
Who do you think is the best rapper out of the three? Nicki, Luda or Shawnna?
