Judge Genece Brinkley shocked everyone last week when she gave Meek Mill two to four years for probation violations even though the prosecution had recommended no jail time.
Meek's lawyers believe Brinkley has a personal vendetta against Mill. They've leaked news of unprofessional and potentially prejudicial behavior from Brinkley including trying to to get Meek to change his representation to one of her friends and asking that he record a cover of the Boyz II Men track "On Bended Knee" and give her a shout out in it.
Meek thought she was joking about redoing the song, and she apparently snapped at him when he refused.
Now Meek's lawyer Joe Tacopina has told Fader that Meek's ex Nicki Minaj was with him when the judge made the bizarre musical request.
Since that information will be part of Meek's appeal, it wouldn't be surprising if Nicki is called to testify on Meek's behalf.
Meek needs all of the help he can get. Although a petition to Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolf to free Meek has quickly gained more than 200,000 signatures, Wolf's office has already said it's powerless to intervene.

Abbott. “The law provides for individuals to apply to the Board of Pardons, which makes recommendations to the governor. The petition is seeking an action that is not permitted or possible under current law.”
