Nicki Minaj made things Instagram official with her new boyfriend Kenny Petty yesterday.
Who's Kenny Petty, you may ask?
Well, he served seven years for shooting a man named Lamont Robinson to death in 2002. He was initially charged with second-degree murder but was able to plea to manslaughter.
The Blast also discovered that Petty was convicted of raping a 16-year-old before that:
According to the NYCPD Sex Offender Unit, Petty was convicted in 1995 of attempted rape in the first degree over an incident that occurred in 1994. Cops also have all of Petty’s “Offender Photos” on file, with the most recent one taken this past April.
Officials note that the offense was “sexual intercourse” and that Petty used a “knife/cutting instrument.” He was sentenced to between 18 and 54 months in a state prison, but it’s unclear how much time he actually served. It’s also noted that he has an identifiable scar on his forehead.
Between Petty, her bro, and her bestie Tekashi 6ix9ine, Minaj sure seems comfortable with men who prey on underage girls.
