'Monster' is one of the standout tracks on Kanye West's 2010 album My Dark Twisted Fantasy.
The posse cut, which features JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver, almost didn't make the album because Ye thought Hov's verse might overwhelm the project.
However, Nicki Minaj was able to convince him to keep it on.
Getting 'Ye to keep 'Monster' on the album ended up being huge for Minaj. Her verse was arguably the best and it solidified her place as an up-and-coming superstar. A month after 'Monster' dropped as a single, Nicki Minaj's debut album Pink Friday opened with a 375K week and spent 72 straight weeks on the chats.
