In November of 2017, Nicki Minaj's brother Jelani Maraj was found guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
His sentence had been up in the air before today, when a judge in New York confirmed that he would be locked up for 25 years to life.
Maraj had been accused of treating his 11-year old former stepdaughter as an "indentured sex object," attacking her orally and vaginally up to four times a week.
Minaj had visited her brother in prison days before his guilty verdict. However, she said she just did that to support her mom, and hasn't spoken about her brother since.
