Pitchfork has obtained 16 hours of recordings of prison phone calls XXXTentacion made in 2016, when he spent six months locked up at the Metro West Detention Center outside of Miami for violating his house arrest on two previous charges, armed home invasion robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm.
XXXTentacion, who was aware he was being recorded, denied beating his ex-girlfriend -- a charge he seemed to have confessed to in a secret recording that Pitchfork released last month.
"I’m on the jail phone so don’t talk too brazy,” XXXTentacion said while discussing the notorious domestic abuse allegations against in the new recordings. “Even if I did some shit like that, to you or anyone around you, bruh, I know you wouldn’t go put me in fucking jail.”
XXXTentacion went on to say the substantial facial injuries his ex had suffered were because she "got jumped," although he didn't specify by whom.
During one of his conversations, XXX lashed out against a 16-year old acquittance he believed was allowing others to post tracks on XXX's SoundCloud page while XXX was away.
“[He] needs to get his face fucked up," XXX said “If I get out I’ma catch another charge fucking him up, bruh.” The boy was evidently put on the phone, and XXXTentacion told him, “Shut the fuck up before I make them slap you and make you suck a dick on camera.” Afterward, he added, “Beat that boy ass. I’ma call back. I want that man ass beat.”
After speaking to a woman on the phone, XXX said this:
“Somebody need to beat [her] up,”and, “I loved every second of that because you could hear the fear.”
In a different discussion with one of his ex-girlfriends, XXX denied every doing anything "crazy" to her, but conceded he once beat up her car.
“I never did nothing crazy to you,” he told one woman, referring to their past relationship. “Besides beating up your car. I got mad. Pow pow. Fucked that car up.”
