Jacque Vaughn, not Ime Udoka will be the next Brooklyn Nets coach.
It was widely reported that the Nets would hire Udoka -- who had been suspended from the Celtics for having sex with a subordinate -- when they fired Steve Nash.
However, there were "strong voices" urging Nets owner Joe Tsai to steer clear of Udoka. After doing more due diligence, Tsai decided to listen and instead hire Vaughn, who had been interim coach since Nash's firing.
Vaughn, who played in the league for twelve years, gets a deal through 23-24.
Now the Nets just have to clear up the Kyrie Irving situation and figure out what the hell is going on with Ben Simmons.
