It's no secret that the listed height of many NBA players bears little resemblance to their actual heights.
The NBA wants to clean that up. They also want to avoid another Buddy Hield situation, in which the Bahamas-born Kings sharpshooter's age was found to be a year older than his listed age
According to Mark Stein, NBA teams must now verify all their players' heights (with shoes off) and ages during training camp.
