Nas Responds To Kelis's Charges Of Physical Abuse

Kelis leveled some pretty ugly charges against Nas in a recent interview with Hollywood Unlocked. 

She says her ex-husband hit her (she doesn't deny she was also violent with him) and was often too drunk to even remember the damage he did.

When asked why she waited so long to make these allegations -- they were together between 2003 and 2009 -- she said it's because she's a private persona and conceded that some of may have had to do with shame.

"When the Rihanna and Chris Brown pictures came out [in 2009] I thought about coming out because I also had bruises all over my body. But I didn’t say anything because I’m private. But seeing her the way she looked and then looking at myself… I felt embarrassed,” Kelis stated.

Nas, who's been locked in a bitter custody battle with Kelis over their eight-year-old son, hasn't officially commented on the ugly allegations.

But his IG fingers have unofficially weighed in.
