Mystikal was arrested for first-degree rape on July 31 of this year, and he was officially indicted in Lousiana on Wednesday, September 7 by a grandjury in Ascension Parrish.

The rapper is now facing a mandatory life prison sentence, but his attorney Joel Pearce said he's innocent.

Reportedly, Mystikal became upset after he believed that a woman he was in a relationship with stole $100 from him.

He then allegedly beat and choked her, while refusing to let her leave his residence. From there, it's said that Mystikal raped her after she tried to locate his missing money but couldn't find it.

Mystikal has also been hit with drug charges after police found heroin, Xanax, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in his home.

In total, Mystikal is being charged with first-degree rape, strangulation, false imprisonment, simple robbery, simple criminal damage to property, possession of schedule II amphetamine, possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession of schedule I controlled dangerous substance, and drug paraphernalia.

This is far from the first time that Mystikal has been arrested for sex crimes. He spent six years in prison after being arrested in 2003 for forcing a hairstylist to perform oral sex.

He was arrested in 2017 as well after it was said that he raped and kidnapped a woman in Shreveport, Louisiana. But those charges were dropped.
