Remember the rumors that Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey had been kicked out of the US?
It's a good thing they weren't true, because it looks like Def has been kicked out of his new home of South Africa.
The Brooklyn-born artist was arrested earlier this week at Cape Town International Airport on charges of using a fraudulent passport. South African Ministry of Home Affairs spokesperson Mayihlome Tshwete took to Twitter to explain why Def and his family now have to vacate the African nation within 14 days.
With regards 2 Mr Smith (Mos Def), SAPS has charged him with usage of fraudulent travel documents.The matter is currently before the courts

Mos Def has said he moved to South Africa in 2014 because he found living in the United States "challenging."
