Montana of 300 Calls Out Labels & Black Fans For Rappers Playing The Violent Fool

by HHL JT

While Montana of 300 came up in Chiraq's trigger-happy drill scene, he's always had religious overtures to his increasingly positive music.

He explained why he blames both the industry and rap's black fans for promoting rappers who risk it all by playing the violent clown.

"In this world, once a mother f-er see that you have sense and knowledge or you know how to teach or have woken up .. the knuckleheads they can't relate. And it's hard for mother f-ers to graduate and they stay being a knucklehead. The mother f-ers that run the business and run these labels, that's what they want, they want a knucklehead. They want you to sell your soul and put your life on the line for entertainment because they know they safe ... let his n*gga, this monkey, go out and play the clown while we take a bag off of him," Montana said.

"A lot of y'all people, even our people, black people, y'all the type that love entertainment, too.  Love to see your brother act the fool. Just like we sit in class. A lot of y'all watch your classmate or your homie cuss the teacher out or be bad and get into a fight when you know he's going to get suspended. You know if he kept getting suspended he's not going to be able to graduate ... you would rather sit back and enjoy the show, when you know what that sh*t lead to. But you not going to tell him. And that's how a lot black people are with each other."

Montana went on to say it annoys him when a "teacher" like J. Cole is told his music is boring and adds he wishes he could consul NBA YoungBoy on the error of his ways.

What do you think of Montana's message?
