Rising LA rapper Moneysign Suede was killed in California's Soledad State prison earlier this week.
Correctional officers went looking for him after he was missing from his cell during a regular count Tuesday night. They found him in another area of the housing unit unresponsive with injuries consistent with a homicide.
The CO's lifesaving measures failed and the 22-year-old was pronounced dead.
Shortly before his death, Suede wrote a letter to his girlfriend in which he detailed his impending transfer to Soledad and expressed concern that he was no longer good with his "peoples" and might not make it home alive.
