We assume one day Kendrick Lamar is going to drop another album because he's only 33 and hasn't said he's retiring.
But it has been four years and a day since DAMN. dropped, so the assumption keeps getting less and less sound.
K.Dot's go-to engineer MixedByAli recently confirmed there is, in fact, a Kendrick album in the pipeline and spoke on what it's been like recording it.
"I would say, every album that he has dropped since Good Kid has come with a different feeling so just look forward to Kendrick obviously expressing himself in the most creative way, the most highest of the creative way," said MixedByAli. "How he works, I've never seen it before. The recording process, the thought process of piecing an album together and sequencing it. Things like that is what keeps guys like me great. Watching his work ethic. You would expect someone like Kendrick to be at home and sitting back. But, nah, he still comes in on time and is punctual."
When asked if the album was dropping in 2021, MixedByAli wouldn't commit to a date.
Ya still hype?
