Katy Perry has the halftime duties for Super Bowl XLIX, and she'll be bringing some special guests along with her. We already know one of them will be Lenny Kravitz. But the pop princess has been reluctant to reveal the others.
“I have to keep some surprises,” she teased. “This guest, though, I thought long and hard about it. I wanted to bring someone back, a throwback of sorts.” Katy said this act would help create a real “female fun night, a bit of old-school.” She continued: “When you hear the first ring of the chord, jaws will drop and faces will melt.”Hmm, who could that be?
This morning, various news sources are reporting it's none other than Missy Elliott, who hasn't had an album since 2005's The Cookbook. But the 30-year old Perry -- who collaborated with Elliott on the remix of 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' -- is old enough to remember when Elliott was one of the music industry's dominate forces, and we're thinking the jaw-dropping face-melting first chord she speaks of will be from Elliott's mega-hit 'Work It.'
