On September 7, 1996, Mike Tyson fought Bruce Sheldon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
After the fight, which Iron Mike won in the first round, Tupac Shakur was shot leaving the casino and would die six days later.
Pac was good friends with the Champ and was sitting in Tyson's VIP section during the fight
Tyson just did Big Boy's radio show and got pretty choked up while discussing what happened on that fateful day over 20 years ago.
"He was really happy after the fight. He came to the press conference with me and was just talking a bunch of shit. Then I went home and then he left," Tyson said.
He added that he wanted to visit Pac in the hospital after he was shot but they wouldn't let him.
Tyson also spoke on what Pac meant to him.
"It's difficult to talk about. A young kid who really wanted to be great. And it happened. "
