While they may not be everyone's cup of tea, there's no denying Migos have become one of Hip Hop's bigger acts. Until now their buzz has been based on singles and mixtapes, but 2015 will be the year the young trio makes their studio album debut with Y.R.N. 2.
In an interview with New York Magazine, Migos member Offset stated that "Our album should be out in the spring of 2015," adding that work on it has already been completed. The band also had some interesting things to say about their writing process and their beef with Chief Keef.
According to Offset, they don't write down any of their bars before recording them. Which shouldn't really surprise the critics of their lyrical content.
" It takes 20 minutes to do a verse each," he said. "If you can’t do a verse in 20 minutes, you have to get out of the booth."
Offset and Quarvo also addressed their feud with Chief Keef, which they patched up last month.
Offset: That was fake Internet beef. Quavo: It was a social media beef. We were in L.A., and bosses made boss calls, and we made honcho calls, and we met like bosses. Now we are good. We’re just keeping it moving, and making our money.Of course, fake Internet beefs are preferable to ones that real people get hurt in.
