There's been lots of chatter that mainstream rap is as bad as it's ever been at the moment, and it's going through a creative lull.
Bow Wow feels that way and so does Offset but they were solely talking about music.
Metro Boomin, however, said it's not a bunch of bad songs that are hurting rap. Instead, it's artists releasing material with no announcement — a trend that seemed to be started by Beyoncé when she released her self-titled album in 2013.
