Metro Boomin Says Rappers Are Messing Up Hip Hop By Doing This One Thing

There's been lots of chatter that mainstream rap is as bad as it's ever been at the moment, and it's going through a creative lull.

Bow Wow feels that way and so does Offset but they were solely talking about music.

Metro Boomin, however, said it's not a bunch of bad songs that are hurting rap.  Instead, it's artists releasing material with no announcement — a trend that seemed to be started by Beyoncé when she released her self-titled album in 2013.

"Fnally a musician who ain’t trying to be mysterious and sh*t," Canadian rapper Nav tweeted back.

"The fake mysterious sh*t with artists is ruining the game!! Everybody too cool," wrote Metro after that.
